Part 4: The Spring Sunshine is Warm (3)
Was the library such a tense place? Erin was blinded by the duke’s fierce gaze. For some reason, he leaned back in his chair, folded his arms and stared at her. She searched through the pages of the book as if she didn’t know it, but the letters couldn’t have caught her eyes.
“Why do you look like that?”
In the end, Erin, who could not overcome the pressure from the Duke’s gaze, raised her head and asked. But he answered each and every one of them “nothing much” and turned his eyes. No, she don’t think it’s a big deal. Erin hesitated to ask for more water, and he glanced at her again and frowned.
It seemed as if she’d was being needled in his hot gaze if she stayed here.
“I guess I got in your way. I’ll leave you alone.”
When she got up from her seat with the book, the Duke bent his head and spat out.
“A little, “
“Can’t you be nervous?”
Erin stumbled in his words. She must have done something wrong.
The tongue-tied Duke glanced from head to toe and asked.
“Oh, it’s okay. Want to see it?”
She didn’t know the proper etiquette but didn’t want to get a scolding, so she looked at her ankle, which she had loosened the bandage. Then the Duke, who jumped to his feet, violently dissuaded her with a gesture.
“What are you doing?”
“I’m showing you I’m all right. You don’t have to worry anymore.”
“It’s nerve-wracking. You can see better!”
He shouted, and Erin shuddered and shrugged.
Inevitably, the duke approached and extended his arm toward her.
Reflexively, Erin stepped back and the duke stepped up, snarling in a threatening way.
“Don’t move. I can’t take it anymore.”
The fierce glimmer of the Duke’s eyes glowed with new blue. When he got close, she opened her eyes wide.
The fragrance of the man pierced the tip of her nose and touched her head, and she opened her eyes greatly.
The Duke, closely wrapped around her, was carefully tending her hair. It was a delicate touch that was very different from the one just before.
The magic is back! She was scared, but this slope! She happily hugged the Duke and rubbed her nose on his wide chest. His body was so nice and pleasant.
“Why are you here now?I just missed you!”
“You know, I-“
“Off right away.”
But a low voice was heard over her head, seemingly snobbish. A frightened Erin looked up at him, lifting only a squeaky gaze.
The blue eyes were sadly cold. Man, the magic wasn’t back, was it? Her face turned red.
She fell in a panic, the Duke lifted something with his thumb and index finger in front of her. The thing between his fingers was the crunchy leaves.
Erin bowed deeply and muttered apologetically to the embarrassment that is overwhelming her.
“Oh, you took it off my head. Well, I thought you were stroking. Lex often did it, so I’m mistaken.”
Oh, what a misunderstanding. He glance with a glare, and his eyes were fierce and his ears were red. You didn’t like it when I held you? Anxious, Erin backed away one step to escape.
The Duke, who was staring at her, stop his tongue around and walked out.
“You’re like a woman who’s a bother from head to toe.”
Before he closed the door on his way, his low moaning was very clear.
What the hell am I doing? Who asked you to take off the leaves or something? Erin pursed her lips and flapped her fist against his back.
Then suddenly, as the Duke opened the door and turned around, she clenched her fists in the air. He gave her fists a gaze and warned her.
“Do not run with that leg. “
“It’s not all better because you’re not sick right away, so be careful for a while.”
Boom, as the door closed and the Duke went out completely, Erin flopped down on the seat.
She was so embarrassed that she wanted to hide in a rat hole.
