Why Are You Doing This, Duke! Vol. 1 Part 4 (17)

Part 4: The Spring Sunshine is Warm (17)

“But it’s a real ability to see things like this.”

A large circle, and a small circle in it, and a line across the circles. Erin almost jumped out of her seat. The pattern she painted in the air was a magic circle.

“Oh, how?”

When a frightened Erin gasped and asked, Juliana squinted her eyes and, with her fingers, drew from head to toe.

“From head to toe, magical powers surround you. It’s very tightly woven.”

“Ho, do you know anything about this magic?”

“Well. So complex, it’s been a long time since I’ve had a magic circle like this. If it looks clear enough like this would have required a lot of consideration.”

“Is it great?”

“Or if the medium is very high quality. Or both?”

She couldn’t quite catch what she were saying, but one thing was for sure. It was the first time anyone recognized the magic.

Erin, all in a hurry, reached out to the front of the table and held Juliana’s hand.

“Please teach me. All of a sudden, something ridiculous happened to me, and I don’t know what to do!”

Juliana slowly pulled out her hand and shook her head, stroking her hand upward.

“I’m sorry, but I don’t know much. Magicians are the only ones that can tell.”

“But you can recognize it.”

“Magic doesn’t create you out of nothing.Only God has the ability to create. Magic is a very complex organism that produces results only when it has materials, intermediates, corresponding costs, and a rich formula. So just because you can see it doesn’t mean you know what it really is. “

Juliana’s bright green eyes were bustling up and down the air as if to open the invisible transparent membrane surrounding Erin.

“Your magic is not complete. That’s why it’s still incomplete.”

“It’s not finished yet? So why would this happen?”

“I just said, but magic is easy to cast. Conversely, it is not easy to break. Whatever the purpose of magic may be different from what you think. Magic is still in progress.”

Maybe it’s a different purpose, and it’s not over yet? It’s getting harder. Erin’s future, which had become as bright as if she had her candle lit up, is blacked out again.

Juliana sighed deeply as she looked at her for a long time, unable to hide her disappointment and touched the Tarot.

“The price of magic may be cruel. You have to pay it back some day.”

“I didn’t do it, right?”

“The magic is working as a medium for you, so you can’t escape responsibility. You may face harsh trials in return. But the magic itself is very pure and beautiful. It’s about helping you, not hurting you.”

With the exception of nearly a year, her life was very rough. But there could be more trials? What’s the use of magic to help me? Having tasted more darkness than before she met Juliana, Erin wrapped her face with both hands in a nervous mood of uneasiness.

Juliana again spread the tarot card on the table.

“Choose one.”

When she pulled out the chuck card, a card with a big cart wheel came out. Looking into it, Juliana said to the Erin.

“It’s a card of destiny. It means that your power is stronger than magic. Maybe even magic belongs to your destiny.”

“Anyway, Taro tells me what I want to hear as you said.”

Juliana huddled and laughed at the Erin’s pool deadly response. But at the moment, the sound of her laughter seemed low.

“Have we before–

The moment she asks for something strange, Juliana Stood up from her seat.

“It’s time to go.”

“We’ll see each other again.”

“When and where shall we meet?”

Juliana smiled sweetly at the Erin, who looked at her desperately like a drowning man. But the hand she took off was firm and her eyes had bitter warnings.

“How to meet you comes in time. Not now.”

She stood up and tried to follow her, but Juliana left the room like the wind.

Feeling restless, Erin ended up sitting in the room blankly, looking down at the card she had left behind. She looked back at what she had said with her again and again, and it was full of unknown words. And it was shocking enough to not accept it easily.

The magic circle was right triggered by herself. But it’s still not complete, but in progress, She could hardly believe it.

“Fortunately you were still here.”

Cain knocking in her head broke her deep imagination.Erin hurried around, putting her card in her wallet and looking back at him.

“I’m here to see Madame off. I heard she’s leaving all of a sudden.”

“Do she want to leave?”

“She don’t have a place to live, She go on a trip.I don’t know when we’ll meet again. It’s been two years since we met for the first time while studying abroad.”

“Two years?”
