Part 3: The Spring Breeze in the Mountains (26)
Unexpectedly, when her identity was revealed, the embarrassed Erin, hesitated, but soon greeted him with courtesy.
“Hey, nice to meet you. Erin Peruka.”
“You’re very beautiful as rumors. The Duke of Peruka is blessed.”
The count flipped her over with his mouthful of praise. Then the Duke hugged her in his arms, blocking his gaze and spitting out a cold sound.
“What are you talking about? You’re wrong, Count Savanh.”
“Not according to the rumor, but my wife is much more beautiful than the rumor.I can’t describe it in the words of this world.”
Erin and Count both froze on his words at the same time. For the first time, she rolled her eyes and dodged her gaze when she saw the awe-inspiring expression singing of the people of the Duke Castle for a long time and struggled to escape.
“Yes, my words are too rich to express your beauty, haha.”
Maybe the Count thought he was joking, but the count drew a smile awkwardly.
At a glance, she quickly pulled the Duke’s sleeve. As he leaned deep into her direction and brought his ears to the corners of her mouth in a friendly gesture, Erin quickly said.
“I’d better go back.”
The delay was more likely to not make the pain disappear with the trace of the body of the Duke. Fortunately, the duke led her back in a hilarious voice.
“If you want to go anywhere.”
But before they even went to the doorstep, the people rushed in and blocked the front, passing through the count of sulfurous expressions. Those who noticed that she was the Duchess began to greet Erin without hesitation.
“It’s Countess Soul Tobin. Would you please give me the honor of greeting the Duchess?”
“I’m Duchess, Count Tobin Harlow. Please give me glory too.”
Erin stared at the people who began to greet her. Then the duke, who hid her behind him and blocked them in front of him, scolded them in a sharp voice.
“What are you doing?”
“Your Grace, we just wanted to say hello.”
“Hello? Can’t you see my precious songbird is shy? It’s very rude.”
“Joe, Songbird? Your Grace, we–“
“All right, everybody out of the way!”
People stood back in astonishment at the Duke’s anger. But he didn’t stop there, and he gazed at the young man in the crowd and went to work.
“Do you want to die, Bern, Bern? Dare you step on my wife’s shadow!”
The man pointed out by him looked around and stood back in alarm.
The Duke, who was staring at the crowd screaming in a very odd way, looked back at her and immediately changed his face and smiled.
“Well, do you want to go?”
The people who gave them an alternating look between her and the Duke with their mouths wide open. They looked as if they had seen a ghost.
However, the Duke, who is not at all concerned with the attention of the people, wrapped her waist and pulled into his arms, mumbling with a kiss on the forehead.
“I dare to look at my songbird.”
No one’s looking beyond me. Lex, please stop. Erin was quick to walk, closing her eyes tightly because of the prickly gaze on her face. It’s not as usual, but she don’t know why it’s so unusual today.
But as soon as Erin took a few steps, her sprained ankle throbbed and paused. Ugh, only to utter a very small groan, the Duke bent over in astonishment.
“What’s wrong with you, lark”
“It’s just a brief leak.”
Erin shook his hands in amazement. However, the Duke’s face was Speculative.
“You’re injured?! “
“No, I’m fine. Aah!”
Erin’s vision swirled around as she tried to gloss over her steps. The Duke suddenly hugged her legs and waist, and there was no room to think. Holding her in his arms, he let out a loud cry around him.
“Come on, come on, come on! “
The roaring sound stopped at once, and everyone in the hall looked back at them. Erin’s bewildered, red-faced, imploring him.
“Please, my lord.”
“No, you’re hurt!”
The Duke, however, shook his head with a determined face as never before. Rather, he hugged her tightly in his arms and rubbed his face against her forehead, appealing with a sad look.
“You shouldn’t be sick. If you get sick, I think I’ll die. If my own moon-bird flies into the sky, I’ll follow you.”
The Duke’s desperate words rang unusually loud in the hall, which seemed to leave a dead silence. Oh, my God! Erin was so embarrassed that she wanted to cry. Why, why did my Lex get this far?
“I’m not going to die. But if I don’t go home now, I’m really going to die.”
The more she got away and wriggled, the duke hugged her tighter. He put his face on her neck and said in a honey-dripping voice.
“Shh, don’t move. You’ll be in big trouble if you did.”
“It’s just a slight sprain on the ankle. If you drop me down, I can jump and go home.”
“Don’t yell at me. Why are you all beating up, heartbroken?”
Every step Erin walked past, and the astonished eyes of the people were on her, and she could not bear to hold her face. She cried lowly, covering her face with her hands.
“My Lord, please just know this. I certainly did my best to say it.”
